Hello and happy Friday! Below you will find information on what's going on with the Foundation. As always, please feel free to contact us at anytime with questions, ideas, prayer requests... whatever! We wouldn't be here with out you all, so thank you! We hope everyone has a good and safe Halloween. God bless!
- Currently The Live Greater Foundation is in the middle of a Barrels for Life Blanket Drive for the Siena/Francis House that ends on Nov. 2nd! The Siena/Franics House is in Omaha,NE and is the biggest homeless shelter in the state and at this time houses 460 men, women, and children a night. When we talked to the executive director at the beginning of October he said that that number is only going to go up as the weather gets colder. At the moment they struggle to give everyone a blanket every night and they try not to turn anyone away. So we have partnered with them and are trying to collect as many new or used blankets for them as possible. Collecting has gone great so far, as we are well on our way to reaching our goal of 100 blankets.
(If you are interested in giving new or used blankets please send us a message on facebook or send an email to email@example.com, and we will let you know where to drop them off or we can figure out a way to pick them up. Like I have mentioned above, we will be collecting until Nov. 2nd. Our goal is to collect 100 blankets! Please help us reach our goal!)
- Live Greater is starting our Take 2 the Word Initiative in November and we are very excited about it! This is going to be a 2 minute weekly spiritual reflection video with Fr. Gregory Ames. The reflections will be about the scripture readings and how one could use them to help them become a better version of oneself, and to live a greater life. Stay tuned as we will be posting these on our webpage, facebook page, and on the ucatholic website (ucatholic.com)!
- There is Black Friday, Cyber Monday and now Giving Tuesday! Giving Tuesday is on Dec. 2nd this year and it is a global day of giving. Help the Live Greater Foundation launch the holiday giving season with the energy and excitement of Giving Tuesday. Join donors around the country as they come together to feel the power of giving, to cure the sick, feed the hungry, educate the young, house the homeless and strengthen communities. We would really appreciate your generosity. There will be more info about this day on our Facebook page and right here on the blog!
